A Great Start

So January is pretty much over and this year is going GREAT! :) Devin and I put an offer in on a house about 40 miles north of us. It's a tiny town called, Bowbells. The offer was accepted and now we are in the middle of papers, compromise, inspections, appraisals, banks, and real estate agents. It's been an exciting journey and I know it's not over yet. We are hoping everything goes smoothly and that we can be in our very own home in a few months!

It need's a lot of updates... but it's just a cute little house! :)

Kamille is growing up way too fast. She gets into EVERYTHING... and I'm pretty sure I'll never find all my big utensils again. She loves that drawer. She has a million toys in her room, why can't she play with those???? Instead I slip into bed at night to find spatulas, spoons, and wire whisks between the sheets. Oh when I go to make cookies and can only find a drawer full of pink legos and a 1/4  cup. Have you ever tried to make cookies with JUST a 1/4 cup? Yeah it's not fun and the cookies don't taste so good. Even though Kamille keeps me on my toes every day, I still wouldn't trade her for anything. She's so happy and has the cutest personality. She likes to meet people, wave and say bye (she just skips the hi) and smiles with all her teeth. Her favorite thing right now is to help me cook. She likes to sit on the counter and watch me chop veggies or hold cans of veggies. She stares at the oven when I'm baking rolls or stirs the pan with a long spoon while saying "chi-chen" She thinks everything is chicken or cake. At night we call the grandmas and she takes the phone, hold it to her ear, and walks around chatting and laughing like she is "for real" talking. It's cute and hilarious.
Hanging out with Grandma after Christmas!

One of her favorites (to wear)....spaghetti

Devin is working hard. He just started his 7 days on today. He takes care if us and we always miss him while he's gone 10-11 hours everyday. He had 4 days off this last weekend, so we stayed home and just relaxed, now the house is a wreck and I should be cleaning and doing laundry right now while Kamille is taking a nap, instead of update my blog. .... one more quick note...

New years always bring Resolutions and every year I feel like nothing really specific happens. So this year I had only one resolution. I want to be a better me. That's it...so by December I hope I can say I tried a little harder to do the things I know I need to.   So here's to me becoming a better me in all things :) ....now off to the mountains of laundry.

God be with you,
Kaylynn Jackson
