2015 Christmas Letter
Dear Family and Friends,
This past year was a fun and exciting one! It was so much
different than our first year married. This year we travelled…and I mean we
went EVERYWHERE, mostly for family functions: weddings, homecomings, reunions
etc. We calculated our Highway miles from road trips alone and it was over
16,700! We got to see a lot of our family and experience life to the
fullest!
This is a little bit of our year:
February: Jacob came home from his mission! He met Devin and
Kamille for the first time.
March: We went to Mt. Rushmore and then to Denver to see
Devin’s brother and his family.
April: I photographed a wedding in Salt Lake for a close
friend from college.
May: We took a puppy to Devin’s mom and later, Kamille and I
travelled to Kamiah to see my little brother, Jason, graduate and my brother,
Justin, came home from his mission.
June: This was our big vacation!!! We went to Lewiston,
Idaho to see my sister get married, then down to Ashton to have some Jackson
family time, then to Lagoon for an Earl family Reunion.
July: We went camping in Havre, MT and then to Spokane for
Jason’s temple endowments, later he left for his mission in Colorado Springs, CO.
August: We road tripped to Idaho Falls for another wedding I
photographed.
And Lastly October: We got to go to Harpster, ID to have a
last family birthday party, where we celebrated half the family’s birthdays.
In between all of this we had all three of my brother’s
living with us (not all at once), we moved 3 miles away from our apartment,
Devin worked full time for Kinder Morgan, and I got to be a stay at home mom
with Kamille. Stanley, North Dakota also
got a new church building this year and we changed from a branch to a ward. I
am the ward primary chorister and Devin is the building representative. I pretty much have the best calling ever and I
have so much fun every Sunday.
Kamille turned one in October. She is growing so fast and
has the cutest personality. She is stubborn like her father and a social
butterfly like me. She has brought so much joy into our lives and I know she
will continue to brighten up the lives of many others. She’s walking, running, and climbing
everywhere. Her favorite foods are rice, green beans, and Cheetos.
I hope this last year was fabulous for your family. I hope
we can remember that this time should be a time of reflection on the birth of
the Savior and a time of celebration and of generosity. We wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Love, The Jackson’s
Devin, Kaylynn, and Kamille
