Things are going great for the Jackson family.
Devin loves his job at Kinder Morgan. We are so lucky that
he is on the pipeline of things. With these lower oil prices, so many people
have lost their jobs. We may have experienced less hours, but we are still able
to live life without worry.
I was on a yard-sale site and saw the best deal EVER!
Someone was selling their Cricut, Cuttlebug, and a binding/laminating machine.
It also included a lot of extras. Seriously this whole lot probably cost around
$500-$700 and we got it for $150! Devin said it was a really early birthday present.
I’ve already started scrapbooking Kamille’s pictures. I have SO many pictures
that I need to do. I’ve decided to make a family one (story-book style), a
vacation one, and one for Kamille. I can’t wait to write down everything about
Devin and I and how we met, and our wedding adventures. We have a lot to
document for being married not even two years.
Kamille is 11 months now! AHHH she is going to be 1 year old
next month!!! I can’t believe it’s gone by so fast. Her favorite word is Dada. She loves Devin so
much. She cries when he leaves and sits by the door at the end of the day to
wait for him. She only says mama when she is sad or looking for me. She can say
“Hi” and likes to say it to random people at the grocery store. She can wave
good-bye and give kisses. She likes to listen to music, dance, and sing. The
coolest thing ever is that she can walk! I’ve seen her walk about 10 steps by herself,
but she likes to walk from Devin to I over and over again and then clap and say
“yay” every time she makes it. It’s pretty cute.
She is also very
stubborn… Our DVDs are right where she can touch them and pull them all out.
She knows it’s a no no, so she looks right at me and starts pulling them out.
As I get up she pulls them out faster, trying to see how many she can get out
before I get to her. So I give her a little spank and tell her “NO”. She fake
cries for a second and then yells at me. Sometimes she tries to spank me. I’m
afraid she thinks it’ a game. Now that I am making her sleep in her crib in her
room at night, she has started the tantrum throwing. The screaming and yelling
at me, I didn’t know, at this age they could do that…but they do, and we will get
through it.
Right now we are looking forward to Kamille’s birthday and
our trip to Idaho in October. We said we weren’t going back to Idaho anymore
this year, but we decided one more trip was in order. Then we are done…I
promise. I’m excited to see family and friends, and this is also the first time
I will be back since the wildfires this year. For some reason I’ve been so emotional
(Like I cried when I watched Chopped on Food Network or watching Wreck-it-Ralph…something
wrong with me!) haha so I already know when I see the damage from the fires, I’m
just going to cry.
God be with you,
Kaylynn Jackson
