April -Picture Overload

Wow...April is almost over and it was so great!
We just got back yesterday from our trip to Oklahoma. My brother, Justin, got married to Brookelynn and it was so great to go to their wedding. My goal is to go to every one of my siblings weddings! :) We have another one coming up in July! Jacob got engaged in Puerto Rico to Danette a little while ago. (That means Devin and I get to go to Puerto Rico this year!!! Woo Hoo)

Oklahoma Trip:
The night we got in I took Brookelyn's bridals. They turned out amazing and it was a lot of fun!

We stayed in a small cabin our first night in Oklahoma. It was surrounded by muddy waters, snakes, and turtles. Everywhere you travel you see Armadillos and Possums dead on the side of the road!

On Friday we went to the Oklahoma zoo. Kamille loves to see the animals and we were so excited to go. When we got there we realized it was Earth Day and all the elementary schools were present. Busses and kids were everywhere. We didn't have time to get through the whole zoo but we saw quite a few animals. Kamilles favorites were the flamingos, elephants, and gorillas (because there was a baby one!)

On Friday we also made it to the Bombing Memorial. I never heard of this bombing. I was 3 years old when it happened. It was a great experience to see the memorial and hear about everything that happened. I was hit hard with my emotions as I looked out and saw all the empty chairs representing the dead, but it was the 19 little chairs standing for the lost children that hit me the hardest.  I would recommend this Memorial to anyone travelling through OKC.

Saturday was my brother's wedding. I was honored to be the photographer! They were so cute and I was so excited to be able to go.

Now for my personal Thrive update. I finished my 8 week experience with Thrive on Sunday and I am so pleased with my results! I know that I'm going to continue to use the lifestyle program to get healthier.
I've had some people ask me what my tipping point was and why I started Thrive. Two months ago I got sick and needed to go to the doctor. Everyone knows that when you go to the doctors they weigh you. I HATE THIS! When the doctor finally made it in to see me for my sore throat and cough she carried in some papers. I glanced over and saw the words "Morbidly Obese" in red letters. I knew I was overweight, I knew I was obese...but I wasn't morbidly obese!!!! I watch my 600 pound life on TLC- I'm not that!!!
Another factor is infertility. Last year Devin and I went through a miscarriage. Ever since then my cycles weren't normal and I tried ovulation tests for 5 months...NOTHING... a lot of my family members have PCOS and I had all the signs for it too. The main things to get my body working well was to loose weight.
So 8 weeks in and things are going/feeling great! I have the energy to get up and get things done and by the end of the day I'm able to keep up with Kamille and have fun. We are eating better and getting more exercise. LIFE is so GOOD! :) I have lost 30 inches and 18.4 pounds!!! I can't wait to see where this takes me.

LOVE YOU ALL,
Kaylynn Jackson
