May 2017 ...Spring is here!!!
I love May! The weather is warmer but not too hot and the days are long! This month hasn't been too busy, I started booking photo-shoots and we are re-doing our utility/front room. I'm getting excited for the months to come, because that means it's adventure time for our family. We have a lot planned (mostly reunions and weddings to attend) but we are also hoping to get in a few family vacations too.
Kamille is 90% potty trained! The last 10% is coming very soon...I hope! She doesn't have accidents in the night and sometimes gets caught up in playing and forgets to use the bathroom. I think I can't use pull ups any more because she knows she can pee in them. So I have dropped the pull-ups (unless we are travelling over 2 hours). She loves her sister so much and just wants to change her diaper, or pick her up, or throw things at her...and you would think Lillian would get tired of it. But she doesn't and loves all the attention Kamille gives her. Kamille likes to help around the house and loves it when her friend Hensley comes to play. Her favorite movie is Moana and I'm getting sick of it...we need something new! She loves bubble baths and picking out her clothes. She is also slightly obsessed with money....and collects dollars in her purse. I thought she might have saved up $5 and some change, but when I opened her small wallet she had $30! She loves to raid Grandma Jackson's purse and then random people give her money. Strange right?!
Lillian is growing so fast, I'm about to put away the 3-6 month clothes and get out the 6-9. She is just over 13lbs and 25.5 inches long. She is so happy as long as she isn't hungry. She is a mama's girl and has a special sad cry when I'm not around. It breaks my heart and the tears just flow. In North Dakota you have to travel over an hour to get anywhere and sometimes Lillian can cry for the WHOLE time. She isn't hungry, she isn't messy, she just doesn't like her car seat and wants me to hold her. Our summer road trips are going to be interesting.
Devin is working hard like always and is good at his job. I'm always proud of him :) He has been working on our SUV most days when he is home, its been a frustrating issue and PS: we don't recommend ANYONE to buy KIA...ever! It's a long story and probably deserves a post all on it's own. We will see if I can handle even talking about it. I don't get angry too much...but our Kia makes me angry!!! Anyway....back to Devin: he's still loosing weight and is down over 40 lbs since last year. He won't let me take pictures of him because he wants to loose more first. Silly guy!
I'm doing well I guess. No changes really. I haven't lost a pound this year since I started eating better and working out (even though I'm down quite a few inches). But I have found the reason why and I'm fixing it! Not giving up! 6 weeks after having Lillian I started having this rash on my belly right above my incision. I haven't been able to loose a pound and I've been a monster. Like yelling at Kamille for singing too loudly or freaking out on my husband for telling me I look beautiful. Then I'd have days when I would break down and feel just plain worthless. Finally I figured it out.... it was my BIRTH CONTROL!!!! So we are switching that up and I hope that I can get back to being a happy mom and wife. I was also released as the primary chorister and I was put in as the new young women's 1st counselor. I'm soooo excited and I am already having a blast with the girls!
That's about all,
God be with you,
Kaylynn Jackson
