One Day at a Time

Fall 2012 semester has ended and I finished off strong. ALL A's!!! I leave Saturday to come home. I was thinking that I was so excited to come home for a nice break...right? Wrong! I started booking for December and it's filled! Everyday except Christmas Day! I almost fill like my family needs to book a session or two just to get time with me.

Friends: I'm going to miss my friends so much! I have an amazing group of them! First off, Allisa. We met when we were juniors at State basketball. Kamiah played against North Fremont and we won. Allisa HATED Kamiah. Then last fall we both took volleyball and ended up on the same team. The next spring we were on the same basketball team! Now we are pretty much best friends. I took her sisters senior pictures and also her family pictures! They are like my new family too. I love them all! 


Vic, my basketball coach from Spring Semester has been a great friend too! I'm going to miss him and Mom (Shanelle) too! We had some good times this semester!






Tristan, Brendan, Brayden, Dane, and Rielly...these are my boys! Their apartment was pretty much my apartment! They probably got annoyed with me but I still love them! haha. From movies...late night mexican...ice cream runs...and volleyball! We will be friends forever! :)

Stephen and Adam... my not so real cousins. We just have a cousin relationship! They are always there with good advice and can always put me back in place when I need it. :) 
Kristen Kelly: I'm going to miss her so much! She is going to be gone when I get back and I don't know when I'll see her again! She is a strong woman and has helped me become stronger mentally and spiritually! I hope we stay friends forever! 





Well I guess that's a pretty long update... haha I'm heading to the boonies and most likely will do another update when I head back to school! THANKS for reading! LOVE YOU ALL!

Exciting....right? You would think so, but it's not! haha It started out great, don't get me wrong, but one bad week can put a damper on things. 

Roommates: I have 5 sophomore roommates this semester, they are all young and I feel so old. I'm never in my apartment because it just makes me feel like I'm trapped. I have to be busy doing something. Payton's my room-roomate and she and I played against each other in competitive basketball last semester, but we don't let that put a hamper on things. Sarah and Sami are the loud ones that wake me up from my naps haha! I'm super jealous of how pretty they are. Megan and Mandi are identical red-headed twins. I just love them. They seem to make things more spiritual by going to the temple on Saturdays and singing to old people on Sundays. I hope someday I can be as cool as them.
Job: Last spring I got a job as a Graphic Designer at the University Store and I worked with two other guys. This semester the other two left and I was promoted to "Head Graphic Designer" I just really like that title. But with the title comes "great" responsibility. Now I'm so busy 20 hours a week, and I love what I do! :) I really like to see my work hung up in the walls, just makes my day! 
Classes: I am taking 15 credits this semester. I have three online classes and then 3 regular classes. My schedule seems pretty easy but it's SOOO not! I have one class on Mondays, one on Tuesdays, two on Wednesdays and one on Thursday...easy? no...they are 2 hours 45 min each and Wednesday I don't get done until 7 at night! Then I have have work everyday and have to find time for 3 online classes. Meaning for online classes alone I have about 36-45 HOURS of homework a week!
Friends: Right now I have a REALLY good friend in my life and that is Allisa! She played with me in volleyball and basketball and we have become pretty close! I like to go to the gym with her and also hang at her place watching movies talking about boys. The other friends in my life ended up not going to BYU-Idaho this semester. I miss my James and Tristan! My last best-friend (Allison) is now married...so I never see her. I really miss hanging with her and living with her too! haha
Just Stuff: I hate to say this, but I have only ever "failed" at one thing (that I can remember)... and that was MEN (in general). But this last week has been so hard. On Tuesday and Wednesday we had competitive volleyball tryouts! I LOVE volleyball. It's my favorite sport and someday I hope to coach! I played in Junior High, High School, and one semester in college! I've taken two class and have helped ref and coach games when I go home! These tryouts went well, I was hitting great and no one could return my serve! Life was good...until I didn't get a call or e-mail from anyone. I e-mailed the coordinator asking if there was a mistake, if they lost my information... but nothing. No respond! So now what am I supposed to do??? I know this might just sound silly to some people, but it's really heart-breaking for me. It ruined my whole weekend and now I'm afraid this week is just going down hill and it's only TUESDAY! ahhhh...  I keep thinking, "just get over yourself" but then I find myself waiting for an e-mail or call...but it's over!
Well I need to get back to writing my Hamlet paper (maybe I should read the Play first....or spark note this baby!)

I don't have many new pictures that I have taken. I'm usually really busy at college. but here are some of McCall and Dallen that I did a while back in Idaho falls! They are so cute!















MY LIFE:

Wow this week just flew by! It was insane! On Monday I got a phone call and I got a JOB!!! How exciting. It was the first time I have ever interviewed and actually applied for a job! So I'm probably getting 15-20 hours a week for this semester and in the Fall I'll be the head Graphic Designer for the University/Book Store! The cool thing about this job is I get it every semester I'm here until I Graduate! No worries for the next 2 years! How cool is that!
THE BEAST: So this semester I tried out for the competitive Basketball team and made it! I was hoping that maybe I can get into shape a lil bit more and also to have some fun. This weekend we have a game coming up and I'm super excited. Practice on Wednesday was KILLER! We warmed up and then my coach Victor told me to go work on post moves with Dustin. As I started walking down to the other side of the court Dustin looked scared and then decided he didn't want to get hurt so he asked for some of me teammates to help out. They looked terrified :) I spent the next 1/2 hour non stop posting up 4 different teammates. Dustin told them to not play "good" defense...but to foul the crap out of me and not letter me score at all. It was hard, but I'm pretty sure I dominated.
Now for me person who has changed my life:
AMY CRYSTAL PETERSON
I think Amy is one of the strongest, bravest girls I know. She is so beautiful and inspires me to never give up.
If we go back to the very beginning we were always forced to be together. I hate to say it, but Amy was mean to me. She used to walk all over me. haha I was scared of her. She was way pretty and super confident. She had friends and I wanted to be just like her.
Then life hit her hard. She went through a lot. Challenges seemed to pile up and all I could do was try my hardest to be there for her. Our bond strengthened and we started to tolerate each other.
Then we became best friends!!! We made it a tradition to stay up until 12:00 every night we were together talking about everything, but mostly boys. Life continued and she took off to California. I was afraid she had forgotten about her best cousin ever...but she came back all grown up. I guess I was grown up some more too. Then I left for college and she got a job. Every time I come home she is there working her hardest to provide not only for herself but for her family too. I'm so proud of what she has become and what I know she will accomplish in her life. When ever I think I'm having a hard time in life I just remember what my cousin had to go through and tell myself that I can do anything.
Funny Story Time: hmmm We have so many memories together. But I think one of my favorite was when Amy and I took a road trip to Lewiston and we were at Arbys grabbing something to eat. Well Amy was on her phone talking to her mom. Then she started freaking out looking everywhere...in her purse...under the table...for her PHONE! She started telling her mom she put her phone in her purse and now it was gone...and all I could do was LAUGH! I wish everyone could have seen her face when she realized what she did. BAHAHAH it was so funny.
I love and miss Amy everyday! :) Can't wait to see her for Graduation! Thanks for being soooo awesome!

There are so many people out there that have change and influenced my life. I have many friends and family that have pushed me to be what I have become! I feel like I should pay tribute to some of them :) I know that this is supposed to be a "photography" blog... but I'm the writer and can do what ever I want...so it's my personal blog too! haha
NEW GOAL: Highlight at least ONE person who has changed my life each week!
OUTCOME: We will find some new modern-day heroes and I might actually  keep up with this blog. :)

PERSON: Jenica Lyn Lloyd (My sister)
When we were growing up, I have to say we 'disliked' each other very much. We had our fun moments at times. I think our mom thought that we would KILL each other at times.
Fun story time: Our room would get REALLY messy...our mom would lock us in the room until it was clean (aka: after everything was shoved under the bed) haha... So we just absolutely couldn't work together...because that was insane. So Jenica came up with a plan that we could take turns cleaning while the other one counted. I was like 7 so I thought it was BRILLIANT! She decided to clean first. So I thought I would be tricky and count as fast as I could. 100 seconds was about 60 seconds back then.  I would open my eyes and she had picked up TWO things... I thought I would make her feel better so I would pat her on the back and say "good job, I can really see a big difference!" Then it was turn! I was going to show her for sure! It was the LONGEST 100 seconds of my life (probably because it was about 500) :( By then I had the whole room picked up! I was that amazing! She would open her eyes and say "Good Job...Wow you did way better than me!" That little stinker.... I hate to admit this, but this is how we cleaned our room for a while (until I caught on).
After my sister moved out and I grew up some more. We actually became friends. I thought that day would never come! I have lived, laughed, and grown with my sister. I look up to her a lot. She is one of the hardest working person I know. She don't over-look any detail and seems to always get it right. I hope that someday I can be as mature and awesome as she is.
I know that this blog can go on FOREVER about Jenica... But I'm going to close it with the simplest phrase! I LOVE HER!

Well life has been flying by and I have found that I'm not to great at this whole blogging thing. I guess it's just a lot easier for people to check out my photography on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/kaylynnphotography911) then it is on here. Then I thought with blogging you can get into the minds of the person. So maybe someone somewhere actually wants to hear what's going on in the head of 'the' Kaylynn Lloyd!
So my last post was in March? I think.... that was FOREVER ago! haha... but a lot has been going on! I'm now 9 hours away from Kamiah and living the great college life. My day consists of waking up... going to class... coming home...going to class... repeat a few more times.... and HOMEWORK (which lasts forever). Some days I get to break the routine and get to see friends or do a photo-shoot. I made it on the competitive basketball team at BYU-Idaho so now I have to juggle practices during the week and games on the weekend. Another cool thing is that I applied for a job at the bookstore for a graphic design position and I got to go in a do a job interview! That was the first job interview I have EVER done... and it was scary. The lady was really nice, but I felt like I was under a light, tied up, and the enemy trying to get information out of me. Other then that I think it went well. I will know by Monday if I get the job.

Photography Update:
 In the last few weeks I have met new people and tried to capture their personalities... I found that it is hard to take pictures of people you absolutely don't know. But I'm hoping that I'm doing okay and that they like the pictures.

Wow... my last blog was in Jan...when I was living with my sister! CRAZY! Well I am back at home in Kamiah and LOTS has been going on! I decided to start a buisness page on Facebook and it spread like fire! I am now booked almost everyday until I go back to college, and I even have come people contacting me for when I'm back there! Well since I have been back in Kamiah I started with Senior Pictures.... In one day I got a few kids together and did Anthony, Jaspreet, Bryan, Jacob (my brother) and Justin (my brother)...Then I few days later I did Matea's and Brett's! I did a Model shoot with my friend Shelby and pretty soon I was getting booked! I did family pictures for a family in Kamiah (Stacie) and travelled all the way to Lewiston to do a shoot (Shawn). The very next day I did a photo-shoot with my sister and then some with my cousins that I haven't seen in about 9 YEARS! This week I have two infant shoots and then maybe some more family shoots if the weather gets better! :) SUPER BUSY! I think it's kind of awesome how much people like my photography! My business page on Facebook shows how many people "look" at your page! OVER 2000 people from the US has seen it and also people from 15 other countries! ...A LOT more people than I thought would EVER see it! I hope you are Enjoying my pictures!
